Fredericksburg ISD is pleased to officially welcome Gayle Schoessow as the newest member of the Board of Trustees. Mrs. Schoessow was sworn in during the June 5, 2025, special board meeting and will begin serving alongside her fellow trustees as they work together to guide the future of Fredericksburg ISD.
Mrs. Schoessow and her husband, Chris, have called Fredericksburg home since 2011. Together, they are raising five children, all current or future students of Fredericksburg ISD. The Schoessow family is proud to be part of the fabric of this community, with deep family roots and a shared commitment to public education.
A graduate of El Campo High School, Mrs. Schoessow went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Development from Texas A&M University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She later earned her Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law, where she was a member of Law Review and served as President of the Student Bar Association. She has practiced law for 20 years and is co-owner of Schoessow Law Firm, PLLC.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Schoessow has remained actively involved in organizations that support children, education, and the broader community. In addition to her legal practice, she has volunteered with numerous local organizations and recently completed the FISD Ambassador Program, further strengthening her understanding of district operations and priorities.
“I am honored to serve Fredericksburg ISD in this role and look forward to working with fellow Board Members to support our students, staff, and families,” said Mrs. Schoessow. “Fredericksburg is a special place, and I am committed to helping ensure that our schools continue to thrive and reflect the values of this community.”
Superintendent Dr. Joe Rodriguez added, “We are excited to welcome Mrs. Schoessow to our Board of Trustees. She brings a strong professional background, a heart for service, and a clear commitment to supporting our mission of guiding students to become the best version of themselves and achieve their unlimited potential.”
Fredericksburg ISD looks forward to Mrs. Schoessow’s leadership and contributions as the school district continues to grow and serve the needs of all students.
FREDERICKSBURG, TX — Fredericksburg ISD has officially launched the FHS Community Master Planning process, bringing together students, staff, parents, and community members to begin shaping the future of Fredericksburg High School. The collaborative effort marks the first step in developing a long-term vision that reflects the values, priorities, and traditions that define the Battlin’ Billies.
